The final match was for
the IZW Women's title, Erica Porter defending the belt against Morgan.
The two had clashed on the IZW tour of the Far East, with Porter
coming out on top, but it was clear from the start that she
would have her hands full on this occasion. While Porter showed why
she's held the belt for more than 18 months, Morgan escaped every
hold, and came close to taking victory herself. Finally, after a long,
gruelling struggle, the champion missed a splash off the top rope, and
Morgan seized the opportunity, pinning Porter to become IZW champion
for the first time.

Accompanied by Babi

Winner: Erica Porter
The woman's crown was up
for grabs next, with the welcome return of title-holder Erica Porter
to the IZW ring, facing Kharma - Adrenelyn acted as guest referee. The
challenger was in subdued mood, Sheik Samir Hussein having apparently
brainwashed her into adopting more "appropriate" attire for
a woman, at least in the Sheik's opinion! Of course, none of this
affected her once the bell rung, but she soon found out why Porter has
held the belt for so long.
Despite giving a good account of herself, Kharma's strength was
waning, but Hussein had other ideas; while the ref's attention was
elsewhere, he threw a handful of powder into the champion's face, and
she was rapidly pinned. However, Kharma, an innocent party, drew
Adrenelyn's attention to the infraction, only to find herself rapidly
disqualified, despite it not being her fault - Porter thus retained
the championship.

for the IZW Women's Title
Erica Porter vs. Valentina for the
UPW Women's title
Winner: Erica Porter
This
night was a special night. Not only was it Valentina's title
defense to Erica Porter but it was also 2 other things. One, it
had a special guest appearance by former WWE superstar Chyna.
The other was it was a farewell night for Big Schwagg.
Chyna
was sitting at the time keepers table as the match was anounced.
Erica was anounced first. She walked out with the Big Schwagg
and recieved a good pop. She was still very arrogant even as a
challenger. Valentina was announced next and she walked out to
the Ring with her newly-won championship belt. She received a
Huge pop!
The
match started out pretty evenly with some lock ups, Irish whips and
Clothes lines. Both Erica and Valentina had failed pin attempts
on each other. It went back and forth until Erica hit Valentina
with what looked to be a short Jungle Driver. Erica then
climbed to the top turnbuckle. Everyone thought it might be for a
Splash. Valentina got to her feet and Erica turned it into a
Missile Drop Kick, knocking Valentina to the mat.
Erica
then went for a pin attempt but Valentina kicked out.
Valentina took the advantage shortly after but made the mistake of
getting too close to the ropes. Big Schwagg, who was at
ringside, reached in and grabbed Valentina and got her
attention. Erica then used this to Roll Valentina up for a
quick pin, but she had to put her feet on the ropes to do it.
The referee did not see this and Erica got the Win and became the
New Champion. After winning the UPW Womens Belt both Erica and
Big Schwagg became very cocky and challenged Chyna to come to the ring and
show what she is made out of. Chyna tried to laugh off the
challenge, but Big Schwagg got insulting.
Chyna
had enough and took off her bandana and shoes and walked into the
ring. She was face to face with Erica, touching foreheads
and mad as hell. Chyna did not learn from the previous
match and did not keep her eye on Big Schwagg. While Erica and
Chyna were nose to nose with each other, the Big Schwagg
snuck behind Chyna and grabbed her. Erica drew her hand back to
give Chyna a sucker punch when Chyna ducked and Erica hit the Big
Schwagg. Big Schwagg went down like a wet dish rag after being
hit with that sucker punch. Meanwhile, Chyna reached back
and took a swing at Erica, knocking her out of the ring.
Big Schwagg was just putting himself together and standing up when
Chyna turned around to attack him for grabbing her. With Big
Schwagg's back towards Chyna, Chyna drew her fist back and went
between his legs and well........Schwagg went down again. Chyna
then left the ring as the crowd gave her a HUGE POP.
All
and all and in the End, Erica has regained the UPW Womens Belt.
And for Junglemaniacs that is all that is Important.

Erica Porter vs. Valentina vs.
Morgan for the UPW Women's Title
Winner: Valentina
The
traffic on the way to the match was light. The amount of
people waiting in line to buy tickets was heavy. It looked to
be a great day for watching Wrestling. I was solo this time.
I did not bring any of my posse with me. Thats ok, I was on a
mission to watch, report on and bring back photographic
documentation of a match. That match being the triple threat
Match between Erica Porter, Michelle
Morganand Valentina.
The
match was the third one from the last. It had been a good
night of great matches so the fans were pumped up. Morgan's
name was anounced first. She emerged from the curtain and
pranced around the ring. She received a big pop. Erica
was anounced next. She came out holding the women's belt and
had that familiar arrogant attitude towards the fans. The fans
popped for her but razed her asking "Where is Schwagg"?
Thats right, the Big Schwagg was not there. As soon as Erica
entered the ring, she and Morgan got into it even before
Valentina came out. Valentina, when her name was
announced, came out and was jumped by Morgan and thrown
into the ring.
Erica
at this time left the ring and walked around the Perimeter as
Valentina and Morgan went at it. Erica was waiting for her
chance to strike. She needed to be careful, however,
and not let Valentina or Morgan pin each other or she would
lose the belt. Erica picked her opportunity now and then.
At one point Morgan got thrown out of the ring and Erica pounced on
the opportunity... and Morgan. She threw Morgan back into the
ring and Erica and Valentina double teamed Morgan, taking
turns putting the hurt on her.
Valentina
would stomp the snot out of Morgan and then Erica would join in.
At one point Erica hit Morgan with a short Michinoku Driver type
move, better known in Wrestling as the "Jungle
Driver". She then mounted the top turnbuckle. Some
of the fans rose in their seats and screamed
"SPLASH!!!!". Thats what Erica did. She
hit Morgan with her patented "Jungle Splash". Erica
then went for the pin on Morgan to retain her
Title........BUT NO! Valentina pulled Erica off
Morgan and threw her out of the Ring. Morgan was wiped out
from the Jungle Driver and Jungle Splash. After Valentina
threw Erica out of the ring, in order to make sure Morgan was out
for good, she hit her with a finishing neck breaker then
got the pin.
Erica
was so furious that Valentina did that to her that she chased
Valentina out of the ring. Valentina had the belt she
just Won in her Possession. Some people reported seeing
a Scuffle behind the Building between Erica and Valentina over
the Belt. I hear the UPW show at the Grove of
Anaheim Saturday July 31st is going to have Valentina defend her
Newly won belt against Erica.

Erica Porter vs. Valentina for the UPW Women's Title
Winner: Erica Porter
Report by Tim Bohannon
I headed off
for the wrestling show early because it was at a venue I had
never been to before. It was being held in the Torrance
Ken Miller Community Center complex. Gates were supposed
to open at 6:30PM so I got there at 6:15PM. They were still putting the ring together at this time.
I saw alot
of guys wearing suits and the women were really dressed up.
I was wearing my Santa Anita Race Track tee shirt and black
dress jeans. I thought I was going to be under-dressed
until I found out there was a wedding being held there at the
same time (different building however).
The gates finally opened up at 7:40PM and I got a very good ringside seat.
On my
left was Skulus Samoan Home Team. They come to see
all the shows and create a lot of Fun in the crowd. On my right was
my friend and Erica fan, Kimphuong Truong. She has met and talked to Erica before about wrestling but she still needs
more coaxing to get into it. We were Ready to see the Show.
The Erica Porter versus Valentina match was the 3rd Match from the
last. The big Womens Title match was anounced so out comes the
camera and we are ready to go. Valentina came out first and got a
Big Pop. She ran around the ring giving everyone high fives (Fan
Favorite). Erica was then announced and came out with the Big Schwagg.
She walked around the ring in similiar fashion but instead of high fives
it was stick the belt in your Face in an arrogant way. The
Samoan crew told Big Schwagg
(who also hosts the tv show Monster
Garage)
"Go Back To Your Garage You Monster!!!" Erica looked
good and was wearing a new costume.
Anyway the match started pretty even. Erica soon got the
upper hand and made several pin attempts on Valentina. Valentina
came back however. Big Schwagg climbed up on the ring apron to give Valentina some lip and Valentina
slapped him. Just as
Valentina started to get the upper hand, Big Schwagg climbed up
on the ring apron to run some interferance. He got
Valentina's attention and she came over to slap him again. As she did
that, Big Schwagg planted a big kiss on her. This
stunned her and allowed Erica to roll her up from behind and get the
Pin.
Erica
Porter over Ivory to retain the UPW Women's title [10'04]
This was a really ambitious match, as I'm sure a good portion of the
crowd isn't used to a women's match that goes this long. The match
started out with Ivory and Porter taking turns working each other's
arms. I was surprised when they were doing matwork that there wasn't
any catcalls or boring chants, at least none that I could hear. Maybe
with the increased workrate in WWE women's matches over the last
couple years fans have become more accepting of female wrestlers
having a real match. Anyway the match was pretty good, my only problem
with it was while they seemed to take their time building the match at
the start, the ending seemed a little more rushed. Babi Slymm, who was
ringside with Porter and Big Schwag took Ivory out with a lariat when
the ref wasn't looking and Porter got the pin. Both Ivory and Porter
looked really good, and this is one
of the better women's matches you'd see in the US."
The
Ladies Champ made her way to the ring full of confidence and attitude,
followed by the challenger ready to take the title. The match started
out with Erica in control and taking it to Kyra. Kyra fought back
valiantly only to be cut back off and taken to the mat. In a moment of
overconfidence Erica started to lose control of the contest, and Kyra
was taking control with hard bodyslams and flying dropkicks. But in
the end it was Erica that was victorious using a top rope belly to
belly suplex to get the win.
The Date was Wednesday
night October 22nd. The place was the Galaxy Dinner Theater in Santa Ana
California. I somehow wound up with the coolest and closest to the ring dinner table
I have ever had at the Galaxy. I could literally stand up and reach over the short
wooden baracade and touch the ring ropes (If I streatched). I had at my
table Erica Porter fans Marcus Ivory and Movie Director/Producer/Actor Art
Camacho. So before the matches even started everything was cool in
Jungleville.
The match started
with Desire's name being anounced. I actually wanted them to use her Halloween
Barbie gimmick since it is so close to Halloween. Anyway the fans were
responsive and popped when Desire came out.
UPW Womens
Champion Erica Porter was then anounced. I thought something was funny when the Big
Schwagg did not come out with her. Then again Erica did not need to Big Schwagg
sharing her thunder. Erica got a big pop as she entered the ring. She pranced
around flaunting her Title Belt. Erica was really rubbing it in proclaiming to be so
good it was Scarey. Desire tried to play it down but down deep I think she
knew it was actually true.
Anyway the
match started and Erica took command early. The match was medium
paced. Erica was verbally taunting Desire though much of the early
goings. Art Camacho got a kick out of it. Desire did get in a few good
combinations of moves only to have Erica come back and reverse things on her.
Erica thought
that she was so much better than Desire. Desire was like dirt under her shoes
in her mind. At one point in the match Desire was flat on her back. Erica took
her foot and walked on and across Desire's stomach as if Desire was nothing more than a
human carpet.
There were
times in the match when Desire thought that she was actually in charge only to find out
that she really was not. At the end of the match Desire slammed Erica down on
her back. Desire thought that she was in charge and climbed up one of
the turnbuckles to go for perhaps a finishing Splash. Erica played possum
until Desire was commited to climbing the turnbuckle then followed her and caught her
and the top. Erica then finished the match with a Top Turnbuckle Suplex and got
the ONE, TWO, THREE Pin!!!
The Title Match between
Erica Porter and Sara Del Ray started with Erica and the Big Schwag
being anounced. Both walked down the ramp to the ring with a confident
swagger. The Fans in attendence booed them, but Erica and Schwag just
took it in like they did not care. The fans were not important to them because they
were far superior to them. Then Sara Del Ray was announced. Some fans cheered
but others were silent because Sara is not as well known as Erica is and they did not know
how to react. Big Schwag made fun of Sara and told her that her butt reminded him of
King Kong Bundy. Sara shrugged it off because she was there to do business.
As the match
Started Erica took an early advantage. Sara then countered and mounted an offense of
her own. Sara did a great Job of mixing moves. She hit Erica with a suplex as
well as Irish Whips and clotheslines. She gave Erica a run for her money on the
offensive end. Erica even had Sara set up for her Jungle Splash. Erica went
for the splash only to have Sara move out of the way at the last half second and Erica
fell flat on her face.
As good as Sara
was it was only a matter of time before Erica had her number dialed in. That and the
Big Schwag's outside the ring antics were just too much for Sara to overcome.
Erica kicked her in the stomach and hit Sara with her Jungle Driver. It was only a
matter of the referee counting to three after that. It was all over and Erica won,
defending her championship belt.
Savvy and Looney failed to show for their tag team
match with the formidable duo of Erica Porter and Nikki Tsugranes.
I think they called in with a case of cold feet or something, and it was
probably better for UPW's insurance policy that they didn't show anyway. So,
Goth girl Desire (aka. Halloween Barbie) took on Nikki T in single's competition.
Desire has been making some noise of late in UPW, mostly with her
mouth, and though she was outsized and outclassed for much of the match,
to her credit she somehow scored a pinfall win.
Erica had seen enough of
this nonsense and marched out with her UPW Women's Championship belt, challenging
the upstart Barbie to a spontaneous match for the title. She had worked too hard and
for too long to become champ, and was not appreciative of Barbie's arrogant
chirping, especially in a crappy venue like The Coach House in front of a bunch
of drunks who can't find dates on a Thursday night. She had not made the drive to
miserable San Juan Capistrano to stand around backstage and listen to Barbie run her
mouth.
Erica proceeded to school
Barbie in why she is The New Total Package of Women's wrestling, hitting her with
the brunt of her arsenal.
After a severe beating, Barbie finally got her first offensive move of the match and
hit Erica with a variation on the Bulldog. Outside the ring, Erica laughed it
off and took her ball and went home, er... walked away with her belt.
She had been toying with her dillusional "prey" the entire time, and
would see Desire/Barbie/whoever she thinks she is at the Grove when this thing goes down
in front of a slightly more curable mob of imbeciles... provided Barbie doesn't take a que
from some Looney and catch a convenient cold or something...

Erica vs. Savvy Sacha for the first UPW Womens Championship
Winner: Erica
Report by Tim Bohannon
Erica Porter Won
the UPW Womens Belt Friday night April 25th 2003.
The Match
between Erica and Savvy started with Erica being called out to the ring. Erica
walked down the ramp with her Manager the "Big Schwag". Alot of Fans
were booing her during her arrogant entrance. Erica's ring attire was a red top
with White pants with many, many short black stripes on them. Erica paraded
herself around the ring before finally laying nonchalantely on the top rope
turnbuckle as Savvy was introduced. As the match started Erica went on the attack
right away. Her attack was mostly successful, with Savvy during the entire
match only getting the upper hand in very few occasions. Big Schwag of course ran
some interferance for Erica on the outside of the ring, which got Savvy's attention
more than once. Actually, Big Schwag got more than just her attention one
time. Erica took the upper hand for keeps and hit Savvy with a
Jungle Driver. Erica got the three count and became the new UPW Womens
Champion. Not being satisfied with just beating Savvy for the title, Erica began
Shinning her shoes on Savvy by kicking the snot out of her. Big Schwag then held
Savvy on the mat as Erica climbed to the top turnbuckle. Erica then hit Savvy with a
medium distance but with Plenty of Hang Time Jungle Splash.
Looney
Lane, I guess, could not take seeing Savvy being abused so badly by Erica and
came to her rescue. Looney Lane attacked Erica. More and more girls came down
to the ring and attacked each other as many of them have running feuds with each
other. One such feud that played itself out was the one with Kyra and Halloween
Barbie (Also known as Desire from EWF Wrestling). Kyra starting punching Halloween
Barbie with alternate Left/Right combinations while stradling Halloween Barbie as Barbie
was laying on the mat trying to cover up. It was quite Funny. Anyway after
this Little Fight Erica Porter still walked away the New UPW Womens Champion. The
belt looks good on her too.

Recap by Erica
So, I got back from Laughlin, NV last
night and I'm sure everyone would like a recap of the event. It took us 8 hours to get
there, normally only 4, and 7 hours to get back. The rain was so bad heading out that at
one point I called Rick and told him I wasn't coming. But, I kept going. I arrived 20
minutes before the doors opened and tried to take at least one bump after the long journey
sitting.
The show started on time, but one thing
was missing, my opponent, Savvy. I was thinking maybe she was caught in the horrible
weather. So, each match passed and I had no idea what would happen. It came time for my
match, so the Big Schwagg went out to apologize, and heckle. He introduced me, also noting
that it really didn't matter that there wasn't a match, I was the UPW women's champ
anyway! But, there was no way I had driven all this way just to come out and look at all
the pathetic people in Laughlin. I told Big Schwagg that there was going to be a match,
and he had better find me someone. So, he entered the audience searching.
He found some skinny girl that seemed to
be a big wrestling fan and had apparently trained for about a MONTH!!!!! I was doubled
over in laughter! I was shouting at some fat lady in the audience telling me she would get
in with me, when all of the sudden someone pulls me off the turnbuckle by my hair. Then
that skinny girl was on top of me throwing punches. Big Schwagg came and pulled her off
and she got on him. Able to get up and brush off I had to quickly show this wrestling
wannabe who was boss. She came at me and I tried to take off her head with a devastating
clothesline. She still had life in her so I gave her what she had come in the ring for...a
beating!
After tossing her around for a minute or
so I grabbed her hair giving her 3 snap mares and an X-Factor before I got bored and had
to just finish this. I climbed up to the third rope and stood examining my prey before I
released a huge Splash. But, something went wrong, she moved and I was doubled over in
pain from the hit. She got on top kicking and throwing some punches. She hit me with two
immediate suplexes and went for the pin, of course I kicked out. She would have to do
better than that. She threw me off the ropes and tried for a body slam which I countered
with a float over and immediately stunned her with my Jungle driver...1-2-3. And that's
all she wrote!!!
They declared me the winner of the
match, what match? So, I picked the girl up and told her she was brave and that it was
great for her to represent Laughlin so well...BUT...I had to give her a clothesline...GET
OUT OF MY RING!!!!! And, that's really all she wrote!
The match started with
some headlock exchanges, to quickly getting on top with a Japanese arm drag.
But again the talented a cruel Lexie got the better of me when she cut me off with a
vicious belly-to-back suplex. She laid into me pretty well. She had no mercy. I tried for
a couple comebacks and was immediately stunned. I again tried to get her with a dropkick
after I threw her off the ropes and she hung on only to kick air. But I quickly got up to
my feet to get her with a flying clothesline, went for the pin, nothing. Again, I
went for a big elbow and then a body slam for the pin, nothing. She got back
on top giving me two whipped suplexes and a hellacious vertical. She went for her
finisher, an odd Torture rack type. I was able to swing around and hit her with a
bulldog. I laid her flat with my Jungle driver, then climbed the ropes to
finish the match with the beautiful, but deadly, SPLASH!!!!!!! I am now
the new IZW Women's Champion and it feels good!!!!!! Especially to have beaten such a
worthy opponent!
I set out on Tuesday morning for
Phoenix, AZ. First I would be facing newcomer Nikki at Rodeo Nights. It was a solid
match. There were some hard slaps at the beginning after a stare down. I quickly got on
top and Nikki cowardly got out of the ring. Upon her entry I quickly nailed her with a
dropkick. She countered rapidly with a reversal into the turnbuckle and some flying
clotheslines. A little shaken I tried for a comeback and was quickly cut-off. But I
got the last laugh off a power slam up the ropes and finished the match with my
devastating Splash. Solid match with a woman who is going to be ruling the rings
shortly. She was tough!
8.) Women's Battle Royal. Hollywood got her foot caught in the
ropes while being flipped out by Lightning. She broke character to express her displeasure
to the "wrestling coordinator" Lightning. That one also broke character to
apologize. The winner will be posted after this CRUSH show airs.
13.) X-terminator (good girl) vs. Felony (bad girl)
for the Crush Championship Crown. X-terminator was Jungle Grrrl in WOW. These two looked
like they worked together before and had the stiffest match of the night. X executed a
Jungle Grrrl splash. The winner will be posted after this CRUSH show airs.
Opponent: Lexie Fyfe for the Impact Zone Wrestling Womens
title
January 11, 2003
Winner:
Lexie Fyfe
This from the Almighty Broderick of the IZW Website
After an intermission, where the fans in
Globe (as well as all of us who drove in from Phoenix and Tempe) enjoyed hot cocoa and
pictures with Horshu and Hollywood, Lexie Fyfe entered the ring to the jeers of a booing
crowd. Fyfe and the Arizona fans generally do not get along, though Erica Porter (formerly
known as Jungle Grrl, now breaking out with her own identity) received a much warmer
recpetion. Fyfe's IZW Women's Championship was on the line, and though she was doing her
best to stall the match, Porter pulled her into the ring by her hair to start the
festivities. They went back and forth, choking and slamming each other, until Porter was
thrown onto the mat. That set her on fire, and she went on the offensive with a double
dropkick, her own version of a Michinoku Driver, and a top rope misslekick that hit Fyfe
square in the mug, the impact resonating all the way to the back row. A bloodied Fyfe
chased Porter all the way to the top rope, finishing the match with a superplex and a pin,
retaining her title. Porter is closer than ever to securing gold, and having been nearly
beheaded in the center of the ring, Fyfe should not be expected to shy from another match
with Porter and a chance for revenge.
Erica wins the
Womens Royal Rumble at UPW's Season's Beatings, tossing finalist Looney Lane out of
the ring for the victory!!!
This from Fantasy Films producer and long-time
Jungle Grrrl fan Tim Bohannon, who was in attendance with friends:
First of all, the place was packed.
More people than they had during the November 6th show. I had my two reserved tables
full of Junglemaniacs. One of the loudest Junglemaniacs at my Table was
Pro Wrestler, Actress, and Beauty Queen Melina Perez. She Screamed so loud "GO ERICA" that
my ears still hurt. Movie Director/Producer/Actor Art Camacho was also at my table scouting for talent. We
also had at my table actress Sharon T. It was so fun! Long show
though. It lasted like 4 Hours and 20 Minutes.
The Pre Match started off with the
introduction of WWE Womens Champion Victoria. Victoria came into the ring to take
her bows. She then began to put down UPW wrestlers and the fans.
Victoria then said she was going to sit ringside to watch the
match.
Erica I think entered 4th or 5th.
As Erica entered the Junglemaniac table went Wild. Melina Perez yelled
"Go Erica" and screached so loud I still hear it ringing in my
ears. Erica imediately went at it with Six Foot Anni King.
Erica came out on top and eliminated Anni. Erica was then attacked by Lexie
Fyfe. Lexie had the Upper hand for a while then Erica came back and took the
offense. During the Battle I could see Director/Producer Art Camacho look intently
on the action. It was as if he was picturing himself in the Ring Directing the
Action. More and more wrestlers were being added in and getting thrown out.
The last woman to enter was a big surprize in that it was Victoria herself.
She wanted to prove that she was better than any UPW Woman Wrestler. Victoria
started off strong eliminating a couple Wrestlers before tangling with Lexie Fyfe.
Lexie had been in the Ring the whole time and was winded. Victoria was totally fresh
and eliminated Lexie. Just after she did that Looney Lane eliminated Victoria and
deposited her on the floor. Victoria started an argument as to her being eliminated
which got the referee onto the floor and his attention away from the Ring. Looney
Lane actually threw Erica over the rope and would have eliminated her if the Referee was
looking. The Referee as stated before was busy on the floor on the opposite
side of the Ring with Victoria. Looney Lane went to get the Referee's
attention. Erica climbed back into the ring and tossed Looney Lane out on the
floor in front of the referee. This got his attention real quick. Erica was
declared the Winner. Looney Lane was walking around the Ring saying she got
robbed.
After the Match a wrestling personality
known as the Big Schwag entered the ring with Erica and praised her on her performance.
A female heckler in the front row right started talking smack to Erica. Erica
told her the way it was right back. At this time Savvy entered the Ring and
delivered a low blow to Schwag and attacked Erica. Erica attacked back and the ring
personel had to restrain the two. This sets up a good match for the Championship
Belt between Erica and Savvy at the next event.
After the Match Erica came straight up and
met with my Crew. Art Camacho told her he was very impressed with her head
movements and facial expressions. He was also impressed with her athleticism.
After years of hearing me brag about Erica in the gym he finally found out
first hand I was not exagerating in the least.
Note - A nice set of images taken by the author will soon be posted in Erica's Image Gallery.

"Erika Porter wins the UPW Women's Battle Royal (12'09)
-Victoria, Looney Lane, Lexi Fyfe, Rio Storm, Annie King, Melissa Coates, Maxi Minx,
Carnidge, Erika Porter, and Desire all took part."
Here is a short recap of the
match by Benjamin Thomas from So-Cal Uncensored:
Female Rumble. Do not know the
entrance order, but here is the elimination order:
Rio was triple teamed and out first.
Annie King thrown out by Erica Porter
Carnage eliminated by Desire
Desire thrown out by Melissa Coates
Lexi Fyfe by Victoria
Maxi Minx by Victoria
Victoria by Loony Lane
Loony by Porter
After the rumble, Big Schwag
returned to UPW in support of Porter, saying she had a match at the next show with Champ
Savvy. Savvy punched Schwag in the nuts and scuffled with Porter.
"Terri's name was called and
Terri's name appeared on the big screen. Erica walked out into the ring in her
place. The people Ringside were surprized. Erica threw up her hands and
shrugged her shoulders and started Wrestling. 30 Seconds later the Time Clock went down to
zero and Erica's name appeared on the Big Screen. Erica was already in the Ring so the
Match just went on until the next 30 Seconds when another girl was added. Terri
Gold was a last Second call off. No high flying moves. There was no room to move
around. Basically, Irish Whip. Hit with clotheslines, pick your
opponents up and over the top rope. Her main Nemesis was 200 Plus Pound Rio
Storm. Erica was later instrumental in throwing Rio Storm over the Top Rope even
though she only had one good Arm. At the end of the match it was only Erica and
Savvy remaining. Erica thought she threw Savvy out of the ring. Savvy's feet did not
touch the floor, however. Erica turned around prematurely and raised her
arms to the Crowd in Victory. The crowd popped, but then it was like
"look behind you". When Erica turned back around she saw that Savvy
was on the mat against the Ropes and not eliminated yet. Erica charged Savvy and Savvy
pulled down on the Ropes and Erica went through the Ropes and landed on the floor,
eliminated. It was a Good Match. Erica seemed in Good Spirits. I brought my
Camera. As I entered I asked the people if we were allowed to bring Cameras in. They
said for this Event no."

The Battle opened with Rio Storm manhandling (in a manner of speaking) Looney Lane around the ring.Savvy entered the ring and went after Rio, and got
tossed around with Looney. When Anni Kings name was announced Rio left
Looney and Savvy rolling on the mat (to encouraging shouts from male fans) and went to
hold the ropes open for Anni, then tripped her as she came through.Looney and Savvy tried to double team Terri Gold as she entered the ring but were both
taken down with a double clothesline.Terri
ignored Looney and Savvy to go after Rio Storm.Erica Porter went after Savvy.Melissa
Coates went after Erica.Nikki Fuller went after Melissa, the two of them
creating a swirl of blond hair until they both went over the top into the pit and out.Looney Lane was next to appear. It took a group effort to get Rio Storm over the
top rope.Erica and Savvy then sent Anni
tumbling after Rio.Erica managed to get
Savvy over the top rope, but the long time fan favorite hung on and when Erica charged in
an attempt to finish the job Savvy pulled the rope out from under her sending Erica
tumbling into the pit.WINNER:Savvy
NOTE:
Terri Gold did NOT appear at UPW's
Home of the Brave 2. Erica confirmed this. The action attributed to Terri in
UPW's recap was actually Erica pulling double duty. I am a little confused as to why
UPW would release an erroneous recap, but I guess it is not that important.
Suffice it to say that Erica represented herself and her friend like a champ with an
injury that was nowhere near healed at the time.
The Killer Klown insulted the crowd and shook his fanny at
hecklers, but it appeared there was no one to meet him in the ring. The familiar sounds of
AC/DCs You Shook Me (All Night Long) signaled the return of CC Starr,
who announced his service to IZW as Commissioner. The Commish brought out Jungle Girl to
face the evil circus castoff, who pulled his opponents long hair throughout the
match. Klown seemed to be winning the match and tried to end it with an abdominal stretch,
but the gorgeous Amazon broke away and brought the clown to his knees with a low blow.
Using a sunset flip to pin the green-haired villain for the three count, Jungle Girl
proved that she can battle with the best of either gender.
Comments
from Erica:
"I
just got back from Tempe, AZ and did a show for Impact Zone Wrestling. I wrestled Doink
the Clown. I wrestled as Jungle GRRRL, but as a face. I drove up with The Hardcore
Kid, Frankie Kazarian, and the Ballard Brother's. It was a good road trip, but
exhausting."
It is VERY possible that Jungle will be
wrestling a very formidable opponent in a couple of upcoming IZW events, so if you
live in the Phoenix, Tuscon or Tempe area make sure to check the IZW webiste for
complete bookings
Erica The Jungle Grrrl's first in-ring appearance in 1.5
years
Promotional Spot
From the UPW Website:
"Next to bound onstage is Nikki,
a longtime UPW trainee, who issues a challenge for any girl in the fed who thinks they can
defeat her in the ring.Coming to meet her
taunts is Erica, the Jungle Girl from WOW, who asks if any other lady in the building is
tough enough to compete against real women. That
leads to the entrance of the third lady, Annie of Tough Enough, who enters the ring and
words now turn into wild action as all three begin to attack each other. They are restrained by a number of security guards
wearing Monster Energy t-shirts who end what could have turned into an ugly
encounter."
Erica had some things to add...
"They are training me
hard and pushing me to work with WWE or a venue of that type of status. I am working
mostly with guys, so I am learning a lot and getting a lot of insight. I am going to come
back 10X the wrestler I was before. We do house shows each month. I just made my first
appearance on Thursday at the Galaxy Theatre in Anaheim, CA. I superplexed a ref and put
some heat out there with Annie from Tough Enough 2, the MTV WWE sponsored show."
Ultimate Professional wrestling is a great federation with
a history of sending workers on to the WWE, Japan and many other prominent leagues
throughout the world. Rowdy Roddy Piper appeared at Shockwave as well.
If you are in the vacinity of Las Vegas Nevada, the
next scheduled UPW event, Rage on the River at the Edgewater Hotel and Casino,
may feature a continuation of this brewing feud between Erica and Annie.
Match 3: Jungle Grrrl vs. Hammerin
Heather Steele
Missile dropkick and slam to start. Heather gets some offence in, but who do YOU think is
gonna win this? Dumb McLane statement #2 as McLane mixes up Riot and Jungle Grrrl.
Lets make this real easy for you, David Riot wears boots. Jungle Grrrl hits
her five moves of doom (Meltdown, swandive headbutt, suplex, Michinokou Driver and
superplex) and the Jungle Splash makes it academic. I love squash.
3 for 4
After the match, Jungle Grrrl says she wants the belt. Well, duh.
Match 2: Jungle Grrrl
vs. Jane Blond
Jungle Grrrl's trying out a new hairstyle. Works for me.
JGrrrl immediately kills Jane's finisher by missile dropkicking her. However, Jane comes
back with the Fujiwara. And how, exactly, guys, does beating Jane Blond make you the Queen
of England??
Jane goes off the ropes, and runs right into a side belly-to-belly suplex. To the corner,
reversed and Jungle hits a springboard clothesline. Now Jungle with a headlock,
shoulderblock, and then MISSES the running headbutt. Now in the corner, and Jane nails
JGrrrl with a headscissors, and then a dropkick.
Headlock, and Jane revs the tilt to a pin for two. Slam, and Jane heads up as we go to an
Ad Break
Back, Jane FINALLY reaches the top, and Jungle swats away the missile dropkick.
Pumphandle... MELTDOWN!! To the top, and there's the flying headbutt!! Stall suplex!! And
there's the Jungle Driver. Now to the top... superplex?? You betcha. That's her Five Moves
OF DOOM~!, so it's it MUST be time for the Superfly Splash. See ya, Jane.
Winner: Jungle Grrrl (4:28, Superfly Splash)
JG: "David McLane, how many more of your girls do I have to put down before I get
that belt. You're lookin' at the number one contender!! That's right."
DM: "Some people may have an argument with you on that, Jungle Grrrl."
JG: "I don't care what kinda argument they have - put 'em in the ring, and let's find
out. One... by one... by one. They will fall, they will lose, I will have that title belt.
Jungle Grrrl will be number one."
Many people blame the failure
of WOW in season one on the pay per view of February 4th, 2001. WOW's business
plan relied heavily on a successful buyrate for "Unleashed", and when that
didn't happen the company did not have enough money to continue paying for it's
syndication package.
Many smarks were ruthless in
their assessment of the pay per view... with one exception.... Jungle Grrrl's splash from
a 15 foot ladder in her match with Beckie The Farmer's Daughter. Even the negative
reports seemed to make mention of her spectacular performance.
Beckie, and particularly
Jungle, pulled out all the stops in a fantastic match, and it was almost
universally acknowledged as the best bout of the evening, quite possibly the best
women's match on television the entire year.
Match 2: Jungle Grrrl vs. Lotus (w/
lovely exotic flowers) Jungle Grrrl starts off with a Missile Dropkick. A Beal,
armdrag and slam gets 2. Lotus manages to get a rollup, and a high kick to the back of the
head. Jungle Grrrl, however, swats away a running dropkick, saying "I don't think
so!!" A spinning side drop for 2. She hits a suplex and an- Ad Break?? Has this match
gone on that long?? We're back, as Jungle Grrrl heads to the top... headbutt!! To the
corner, and Grrrl gets some kicks in. Whip to the opposite corner is reversed, but Grrrl
turns the disadvantage into a springboard clothesline!! Now she's got a pumphandle...
Meltdown!! She puts Lotus on the top... Superplex!! Lotus is DEAD!! The Splash is
anticlimatic... Winner: Jungle Grrrl (3:22, Superfly Splash)
Jungle Grrrl tosses Lotus out, and Beckie
The Farmer's Daughter runs in, and dropkicks JG out!! The Pink Twins accept the hair
match. 1 for 2 I should mention that the PPV plug includes hype for the tag tournament
finals between Caged Heat and Harley's Angels. Oops... Ad Break
Match 1: Paradise vs. Jungle Grrrl
Paradise gets a dropkick, Jungle Grrrl comes back with a back elbow, and then a backdrop.
David McLane goes all Flair on us and yells "Whoo!!" for no apparent reason.
Jungle Grrrl tries a Tombstone, but it's reversed to a victory roll. Slam by Grrrl. Top
rope headbutt... for 2. Paradise is whipped to the corner, but hits the WOW crossbody (2nd
rope twisting crossbody) for 1. Jungle Grrrl says "enough of this" and puts
Paradise up on top. Superplex!!. Superfly Splash. See ya.
Winner: Jungle Grrrl (2:13, Superfly Splash)
"So Beckie The Farmers Daughter, did you see THAT splash... because you're next...
you're next. LEARN the laws of the Jungle!"
Match 3, Jungle Squash Match: Jungle
Grrrl vs. Farah the Persian Princess
I'm just gonna list the JGrrrl's moves, since Farah ain't getting much in the way of
offence in tonight:
Eye rake. Back elbow. Backdrop. Farah gets a couple of pin attempts. Slam. Dropkick.
Whoops! Blew a side slam... Flying headbutt. More token offence from Farah. Eye rake.
Meltdown. Superfly splash. Farah, welcome to Squashville. Population: YOU.
Winners: Jungle Grrrl (3:08, Superfly Splash)
McLane talks to Jungle Grrrl post match. "Never hunt what you can't kill."
Match 2:
Jungle Grrrl (by her own damn self) vs. Bronco Billie (w/ Lasso and waaay too much
eyeshadow and glitter) Seriously, it's like she was a good looking Mimi. Jungle Grrrl
hits the double axehandle off the top to start, and the slaughter is on. Running headbutt
for one. Billie hits the WOWapult (#1), and again (#2) into the turnbuckle. Jungle Grrrl
takes the Bret Hart corner bump and takes the Bulldog. Billie gets a crucifix for .5, then
gets a monkey flip. Grrrl says "nuts to this", slams Billie, then hits the
Jungle Splash for 3. Winner: Jungle Grrrl (2:32, Jungle Splash) This
would've been about .75 because of the time, but since I don't give out quarter stars...
1.5 for 3.
Match 1:
Jungle Grrrl vs. Jade (w/o Lotus) This is Jade's debut. Well, it's not like she's
gonna win. Grrrl's new move of the match: the JYD-esque running headbutt. Jade busts out
the satellite rana, and either blows it completely or Grrrl forgot to roll at the right
time. It was her first match, so I'll forgive her - this time. WOWapult #1 by Jungle
Grrrl, and she then channels Nash and Page at the same time by no-selling a twisting
bodypress and saying "I don't think so!!". Vertical suplex, Jungle Splash. Good
night. I love Jungle squash. Winner: Jungle Grrrl (2:43, Jungle Splash)
Match 2, WOW Championship Match:
Jungle Grrrl vs. Terri Gold (c)
Jungle Grrrl's got the mic!! "Say goodbye to Terri Gold. I took it easy on her the
first time, but now I'm gonna rip her, shred her... and that's... the Law of the
Jungle."
Terri comes to the ring, and gets Golddust's glitter treatment. Jungle Grrrl grabs the
belt and poses with it. So Terri, being the role model for kids everywhere, (kinda)
dropkicks Grrrl as she's turning around. Up on Grrrl's neck with a headscissors, and again
- JGrrrl lands on her head with that one. And she bails to regroup.
Lockup, JG with a headlock and a takeover. Back up, Terri whips her off but gets
shoulderblocked down. Ropes sequence, Terri telegraphs the monkey flip about 20 minutes
before she does it yet STILL manages to hit the move. Armdrag by Terri, now up into an
armbar, which JGrrrl breaks up and then casually slams her down. Whip, and a back bodydrop
on Terri. To the top, and the double axehandle actually hits!! Which I think breaks about
3 of the unwritten rules of wrestling. Pose, pin, and a 2. Both up.
Staredown, Terri offers a handshake, and
Jungle Grrrl, knowing that you should never accept a handshake in wrestling, smacks her
down and then slams her with authority.
Lockup, armdrag. Terri trips her up, and there's a BAD, bad clip. Terri hits a drop toe
hold and applies an Indian Deathlock! When did she learn that, and why hasn't she used it
since? JGrrrl reaches the ropes, put Terri holds on to the legs and WOWapults her. Corner
whip, and here's a Chyna handspring elbow. Pose, pin gets 2.
Back up, and Jungle Grrrl rakes the eyes. Whip, Terri avoids the clothesline but eats
elbow on the way back. Mocking Terri's pose, pins, and also gets 2. Whip to the corner is
reversed, and Terri nails Grrrl with a monkey flip. More showboating, and a pin gets two.
To the corner, Jungle Grrrl blocks the charge, and hits a top rope splash for the duke.
