October
3, 2005 - Adrenaline Unleashed, New Pictures!!! - Despite
a light crowd, last Friday night's debut of Adrenaline Unleashed
is being declared a success due to the quality of the card it
presented. As reported at The Jungle, Erica was in
attendance providing color commentary for all the action, so
that will be a dvd all Junglemaniacs will want to have in their
possession when it is released from the official Adrenaline
Unleashed website. The following are the complete results
from the event. The next show will run on October 21st at the
Industry Expo Center in City of Industry California, and we will
keep you updated on what role Erica might play in that one.

It has been a long time since we have had any new
pictures, so it was nice to see some new attachments in the old email
Sunday evening. Erica attended Oktoberfest on Saturday, and
appeared to have a great time. Official Jungle photographer/report Tim
Bohannon of Fantasy films was also there and took a few snapshots of the
head huntress. Click
here to see the new gallery.
September
29, 2005 - Get Ready for "Adrenaline Unleashed"!! - Erica
edges ever closer to her return to the ring tomorrow night in City of
Industry, CA. She will be making an appearance at
Adrenaline Unleashed, a brand new Southern California federation
comprised of some of the greatest talent in the sport. Several
discounts on tickets are available, and you can learn more about
that by clicking
here. It will truly be a night of surprises as the card has
yet to be released. But fans are destined to be entertained with
the likes of Chris Daniels, Aaron Aguilera, The Ballard
Brothers and The Native Warriors rumored to rumble. A little
Head Huntress pugilism is not even out of the question with Jungle
Grrrl prowling the paremeter of the six-sided ring... energized after 10 months of hibernation. Yes, it's short notice, but not too late to
check out Adrenaline Unleashed tomorrow night!
July
11, 2005 - Erica's Thoughts - In this update,
Erica discusses several new and exciting projects she has been
involved in lately. As she explains in her journal, her
hiatus from wrestling should not be interpreted as her retirement
(which has been errantly suggested throughout the internet). We
will even be privelaged to see a re-appearance of Jungle
Grrrl on television in the not too distant future. Make sure
to check out Erica's latest thoughts by clicking
here.
I want to
apologize for not having media of Erica's appearance on Pax TV's
Extreme Fakeovers from way back in April. My poor video capture
card just couldn't create decent video captures or video, or at
least to my own specs. She looked fantastic as "Jungle
Woman", with a perfectly stylish leopard print outfit and
her hair done similarly to how it was done in "Spiderman".
She trained a guy attempting to fool his brother into believing he was
a female wrestler in a fictitious program called "Wild Women of
Wrestling". Then, as "Jungle Woman",
she got into the ring with the brothers and helped with the
prank, cutting an excellent promo that was especially
menacing. Of course, I still have the video and will post
media of it as soon as I fix the technical issues.
April
10, 2005 - Erica to appear on Pax TV's "Extreme Fakeovers"
April 18th - Yes, it's been an eternity since our last
update. Erica has been busy negotiating with publishers about
her book and assessing which direction to go with
wrestling. Until then, her fans will be happy to know that
they will be able to see her on the new, nationally televised
reality show, "Extreme
Fakeovers". According to the official
Pax TV website, the program will debut on April 18th at
8:00pm EST. While she has been hired to appear in several
subsequent episodes of the program that do not involve
wrestling, the Premier will feature a man transformed into a
female professional wrestler as a practical joke on his brother.
Erica will be the guy's opponent in the ring. Make sure to catch
Erica's triumphant return to television at 8:00pm on April 18th on Pax
TV's "Extreme Fakeovers", and make sure to visit The
Jungle for updates about her other appearances on the program.
In other
news, the 2004 rematch with Valentina,
where Erica re-captured the UPW Women's Title after a very brief
respite, is now on sale at rfvideo.com.
Not only do you get a great match, one of Erica's last from her
unparalelled career as the greatest female the federation ever
produced, but you also get all the heat from her confrontation
with the one and only Chyna (aka. Joanne Laurer from "The Surreal
Life"). The cost is only $15, so click
here to get your copy now.
Finally,
we have some catching up to do on our Pictures of the
Week.
Enjoy three new snapshots from Erica's personal collection.
Jan.
30, 2005 - "Baldo Train" to wrestle Tuesday in Arizona - Erica's
college buddy Albert (previously known as "A-Train" of the
WWE) is booked to appear in IZW
Action this Tuesday, February 1st, at The Sets in
Tempe, AZ. I remember well the time on the old WOW board
when a hot shot poster raided her forum promising to pimp the Head
Huntress in his "low rider caddy". I should have known
something was up when Jungle Grrrl
didn't light the poor guy up with a
smack talk masterpiece, as she had been known to do in the
past. Instead, all she indicated in her response was that
he was a friend, and a fellow wrestler who she could not
identify. It took me a year or so to figure out. Erica
never told me who it was, but it had to be A-Train. We had
no idea that we were in the company of the WWE Intercontinental
Champion at the time, but it's a small thing that I will
remember fondly from those days. Those were such fun days.
WOW was the most fun I have ever had watching wrestling, and
don't let the revisionist historians deceive you. It was wildly
popular among a rabid fan base who loved (or hated) the athletes with
a passion, and that board was the most happening hangout on the
internet for a short, glorious time. Having figured out
the "Albert" mystery, I wonder how many other
superstars and luminaries from the industry visited those environs
back in the day. More than a couple must have thought we were
certifiably insane. Maybe we were, but Albert fit right in
:).
Albert will be
taking on Sheik Samir Hussein on Tuesday, and there is an angle
that you non-Hunters may have forgotten. Hussein is the same
dipshit who cost Erica a certain pin last October 10th when he tossed
sand into her eyes and disoriented her. The Champ took a three
count from Kharma that night, but it was quickly overturned when
the challenger was disqualified. Though it may not be his
primary motivation, you can be sure that Albert, a
behemoth of a man already with a chip on his shoulder, climbs
into the ring against the man who ruined Erica's match.
University of Pittsburgh alumni share a certain elan, and
revenge will be sweet when the pimp daddy punishes the Sheik! If
you are anywhere near The Sets on Tuesday night, you may want to
check this out.
As for
Erica, she has been using the longest hiatus since returning to
wrestling to finish her book and send it off to potential
publishers. So wish her luck on that! All is well in The
Jungle, and you can be certain that her next victim will bear
the brunt of a an athlete who is as healthy, hungry and eager to
rack up hardware as she has ever been throughout her illustrious
career. As always, The Jungle will be the most up to date
source for all of Erica Porter's bookings.
January 26th
was a very sad day when it was learned that 36 US servicemen were
killed in Iraq, the most we have lost in a single day of our
country's action in the region. Thirty one of the soldiers died
in a helicopter crash caused by sand storm in the desert of the Anbar,
part of the 1st Marine Division from Camp Pendleton, where Erica
wrestled and met many incredible people in December of 2003. She
has spoken many times about the impact the men and women of the armed
forces have had on her life. Our support and appreciation for
their work in defense of our freedoms is absolutely unconditional and
infinite in it's scope.
This week's Picture
of the Week was taken by Erica at the conclusion of the last
Redskins game at RFK stadium. Appropriate for Super Bowl
week, and considering that this will be the temporary home of
baseball's Washington Nationals.
Dec. 15, 2004 - "Erica's
Thoughts", New Bookings and Picture of The Week
|
|
|

|
|
Erica
will not be wasting any time launching 2005, throwing
down in Xtra Xtreme Wrestling out of Houston,
Texas. More details to come in the bookings region. |
|
The
Champ will be spending the holidays with family. This
week's POTW features Erica's "Angels" (her two nieces
and newphew). |
If
you missed it at the top of the page, Erica has written a new
journal entry with a holiday message for all of her fans.
After a brief hiatus, Erica will be getting
busy in the first month of 2005 with events in Houston, Texas
and Santa Ana, CA. A little known fact is that Erica's
first match after WOW came with XXW back in 2001, against a
male opponent. The results of that match remain a
mystery, but what is absolutely certain is that the Texas
crowd will be treated to an athlete at the height of her powers this
time around. Still quite perturbed after dropping her IZW
title to Morgan in October, Jungle Grrrl will be ready to take
out her frustration on anybody Al Rage tosses into the cage.
Looking at the women's roster, the promoter may be ill-advised
to serve up a piece of fluff like Tronda, whose primary focus
has been as a valet and "Glam Girl" to this point
(whatever that is). Maybe it will be another intergender
match. If so, here is hoping that whoever that is has the mental toughness to
live with a beatdown from a woman.
In addition, UPW will be running it's next big
event at the Galaxy Theatre on January 26th. In his latest
Ultimate Update, Rick Bassman reveals that the fans will not
be cheated from seeing Erica in action as they did in Redondo Beach
two weeks ago. The bookings region of the Jungle will keep you
up to date with these and any other events where you can catch the
Head Huntress in coming days.
This week's Picture of the Week is very special to
Erica, showing her brother's three beautiful children,
who she cannot wait to see very soon. Merry Christmas to
Savannah, Carliegh and Mark, and to Hunters everywhere!
Dec.
5, 2004 - Top 50 Women in the Indies, WWE News and POTW - For
the second consecutive year Bret Schwan of wrestlingclothesline.com
unveiled his list of the top 50 women wrestlers of the Independent
circuit. And, for the second consecutive year, Erica
ranked high on that list, moving up 5 slots from last year to
number 7. Though it is unknown whether this list will receive
the same treatment in 2004, it was featured in Bill Apter's
"Total Wrestling" magazine last year. At least Bret is
getting a little more accurate in his assessment of the greatest
women's wrestler in the Indies, but he is not there yet
:). Click here to revisit Erica's interview with Schwan from
2002. Wrestlingclothesline.com does a good job promoting the
ladies on it's site, and though no list could claim to be the
definitive rank of women in the business, we fully support and
appreciate their efforts.
In case you
missed it, SoCal's own Melina Perez debuted on Monday night Raw
last week, when Randy Orton introduced her as the brand's newest
"diva". Melina has worked very hard and come a long
way for this opportunity, but we just hope the ridiculous
lingerie act they had her do in the show is not indicative of every
appearance she makes in the future. She looked fantastic,
but that is not what she trained for!! In any event,
congratulations to Melina and may you enjoy as much success,
wealth and happiness as you always dreamed this break would bring you!
In other WWE
news, Erica's UPW colleague Aaron "Hard Core Kid"
Aguillera debuted on Smackdown recently as "Jesus".
Aaron appeared with her in the TLC documentary program "Faking
It" earlier this year, and he is yet another of Tom
Howard's disciples to make the leap to the bigs. Congratulations
to Aaron!
Unfortunately,
Erica's college buddy Albert was released from his WWE contract
recently. More than any other individual, A-Train may have
been most responsible for encouraging Erica to explore wrestling as a
career, and he is a prime candidate to help federations other
than the WWE grow and flourish in the future. Erica's fans owe
Albert a great deal of gratitude for his constant support of our
wrestling queen all these years, and we know that he will keep
kicking ass and taking names in wrestling rings worldwide for a long
time to come.
Last week's
POTW showed Erica reaching skyward while mountain climbing, and
this week's Picture of The Week shows her on yet another adventure...
Wakeboarding in the Pacific Ocean.
Nov.
21, 2004 - New UPW Show, 1 new Photo Gallery and Picture of the Week -
On Dec. 4 in Redondo Beach, UPW presents
"Empire", the
federation's latest Road Wars show.
Though Erica is not listed in the bookings, she is featured on the
poster and it is believed she will be involved in some capacity. We
will keep you updated on any changes to the card as they become known.
Dayne
Adams of "Thundergirls" has made the IZW Title match between
Erica and
Morgan available for download at Thundergirls.com. I
personally have seen the Windows Media version of the match, and
I must say that the production skills and quality of the video are
excellent. If you are familiar with most of Erica's work,
you will also be especially entertained by the interaction she has
wtih the crowd in this match, which happens to be f-in
hilarious. Thundergirls has made download versions of every
match from the Nov. 2nd Heatwave show available, as well as VHS and DVD
versions of the entire show. We are also pleased to present a
new gallery of high quality video captures from the vid to stoke
your interest.
This
week's Picture of the Week shows Erica sitting down to a big
spread, similar to what you may be enjoying on Thursday
afternoon. Happy Thanksgiving to all Hunters!!
Nov.
6, 2004 - 2 New Photosets from "Destruction in the Desert"
and IZW/Thundergirls "Heatwave", Erica's Thoughts -
Well the truth comes out in this week's journal entry about Erica's
last two matches. We were a little concerned about the IZW
reports we had been getting earlier in the week and made a
conscientious decision to withhold news of Erica's loss to
Morgan at
IZW's "Heatwave" until we sorted out the details As Erica explains in her latest comments,
poor officiating was a major factor in the outcome of the match.
It is all water under the bridge now, but certainly worth
mentioning. Of course, no bizarre twist of fate or display of
professional ineptitude by the zebra prevented her complete
anhialation of Looney Lane at the
UPW show, and Erica writes an
accurate and descriptive recap of her "Destruction in the
Desert" action as well. Click here to read Erica's
accounts of her last two bouts.
The following
are two photosets from these events. Enjoy!

Nov.
1, 2004 - Quick Results from "Destruction in the Desert" -
At Saturday night's "Destruction in the Desert" show at
Buffalo Bill's in Primm, NV, Erica defeated Looney Lane to
retain her UPW Women's Title. A large crowd of 2500 were on hand
to witness the event, which also featured appearances by Rikishi,
Diamond Dallas
Page and Sean O'Haire. A full recap of the
action has yet to appear, but reports indicate that the Women's
Champ was accompanied to the ring by Schwag Army Soldiers Babi Slymm
and Vanderpyle. Erica may provide some comments on the bout when
she returns from tomorrow night's Thundergirls show in Tempe, if
she feels the competition was worth mentioning.
Speaking of
which, there has been one curious cancellation for Thundergirls.
Cheerleader Melissa bowed out of the show for unknown reasons.
One cannot help but speculate that she contracted a case of nerves
when she found out that Erica would be in the house, considering
the beat down The Head Huntress laid on Melissa last time they
clashed. Of course, I am just speculating, and we'll
just assume that the poor girl just needed some extra rest after being
hurled off a balcony at last month's APW show. Tomorrow still
promises to be great, with Erica and
Morgan to grapple
over the IZW title in the main event. Thundergirl promoter Dayne
Adams suggested we may be privelaged to a few exclusive photos from Heatwave, and we will post them as soon as they are
received.
As for Melissa, here's hoping she feels more like wrestling soon :).
Finally,
this Week's Picture of the Week shows Erica around the time of one of
her first birthdays. Thanks to all of you who sent birthday
greetings over the weekend.
Oct.
10, 2004- New UPW Booking, "Thundergirls
Update", Detailed Report from "The Sets", Picture of
The Week - In seperate press releases last
week, Erica learned who her next two opponents will be. On
October 30th in Primm, NV, UPW
presents "Destruction in the Desert". The UPW Women's
Champion will be celebrating her birthday with Looney Lane in a match
for the Title. This will be the first time The Champ and the
psychotic school girl have ever squared off in singles competition at
UPW, though Erica did toss Lane out of the ring in a Royal
Rumble in January, 2003. Joanie Laurer will once again be at
ringside, and if her last appearance was any indication the
former WWE Diva may have an agenda for Erica before, during or
after the match. It should be a great show with Diamond Dallas
Page, Rikishi,
Sean O'Haire and the Powerbomb Dancers all
making the scene. UPW is attempting to organize a caravan for
SoCal fans that would like to make the trip to Primm. The
package would include round-trip bus transportation, UPW show
ticket, Hotel accomodations and buffet tickets. If
interested in purchasing this package, write webmaster@upw.com.
Our friends at
"Thundergirls" have announced the card for their next show
in Tempe AZ, Heatwave. Despite tremendous pressure from
the IZW fanbase, Navajo Warrior has decided to pit Erica against
Morgan for the IZW Women's Title. Though Cheerleader Melissa
will be in attendance and working a separate bout with Sara Del Rey
that night, Navajo must have felt that a
rematch from the best affair at the legendary CRUSH show would have
been too HOT for this first presentation of Thundergirls. We
still hope for that match to happen in the near future, but in
the meantime Erica should have no problem defending her title against
Morgan. Here is fighttoon's pub for the event:
ThunderGirls
NEXT port of mayhem is Tempe Arizona, and Impact Zone Wrestling is
doing a stellar job of booking for "HEATWAVE," November 2 in
Tempe AZ at "The Sets." Scheduled ladies include:
IZW Womens Championship Erica Porter Vs Morgan
THUNDERGIRLS: Becca vs Diana
Sara Del Ray Vs Cheerleader Melissa
Kharma Vs Adrenelyn
Also booked is "New York Knockout" Nikki with MORE to be
announced.
All told we're working to have 14 gals for "HEATWAVE," a HOT
night of women's wrestling.
We finally got
a detailed account of what happened at The Sets when Erica took on
Kharma on Sept. 28. This from the IZW Website. It's not
pretty:
The woman's
crown was up for grabs next, with the welcome return of title-holder
Erica Porter to the IZW ring, facing Kharma - Adrenelyn acted as guest
referee. The challenger was in subdued mood, Sheik Samir Hussein
having apparently brainwashed her into adopting more
"appropriate" attire for a woman, at least in the Sheik's
opinion! Of course, none of this affected her once the bell rung, but
she soon found out why Porter has held the belt for so long.
Despite giving a good account of herself, Kharma's strength was
waning, but Hussein had other ideas; while the ref's attention was
elsewhere, he threw a handful of powder into the champion's face, and
she was rapidly pinned. However, Kharma, an innocent party, drew
Adrenelyn's attention to the infraction, only to find herself rapidly
disqualified, despite it not being her fault - Porter thus retained
the championship.ckets.
Ok, we're
all aware that Erica and former valet Big
Schwag were not always the
most popular duo in the house at UPW shows. But what Hussein did
to Erica was so vile and underhanded that he should be subjected to a
full investigation. I would submit that serious consideration
should be given to kicking this dingleberry out of the federation
altogether. People claimed that Schwag cheated and helped Erica
to secure a few matches in the past, but there is not one single
shred of physical evidence to confirm that (just the accounts of a few
drunk, jealous or just plain delusional fans). This loser
was caught red-handed, apparently. Erica has worked hard
to own both the IZW and UPW titles for so long, she's carried
herself with nothing less than the utmost integrity and she has worked
clean the entire time. To have Mr. Hussein taint one of her
masterpieces with such chicanery is an absolute outrage! Not
only did he cheat Erica, he cheated Kharma of a lesson she's had
coming for a long time and, worst of all, he cheated the
fans from seeing the match reach a classic Splashdown conclusion. And,
that is my editorial comments for the week. :)
Finally,
this week's Picture of the Week shows a very recent picture of Erica
from an Oktoberfest celebration last weekend. She appeared to
have a great time, and even ventured to do "The Chicken
Dance", complete with a very stylish chicken hat. In
fact, rumor has it that The Champ is so fond of the hat that
fans may be privelaged to see her wearing it at a future event.
I think she wears it well, don't you?

Sept
29, 2004
- IZW quick results, Thundergirls scheduled for "The
Sets" in Tempe - In her first action since returning from
Korea, Erica defeated Kharma
(with Sheik Samir Hussein) by DQ last night at IZW's weekly show at
The Sets. Erica may have a new journal entry shortly to describe
exactly what happened in the ring, and more specifically why the
match was not allowed to finish by pinfall.
IZW also
announced tonight that Erica will be involved in the November 2nd
"Thundergirl" show in Tempe. This show is going to be
dynamite, and if we are lucky it may feature a CRUSH rematch
between Erica and Cheerleader Melissa (widely regarded as one of the
best ladies matches of the last two years by those in
attendance). Here is the pub from the IZW Website:
Impact
Zone Wrestling presents "Thundergirls" Tuesday November 2nd at
The Sets. Already confirmed for this special all womens wrestling show
are: IZW Womens Champion Erica Porter, Kharma, Morgan,
Adrenelyn,
"future legend" Cheerleader Melissa, Sara Del Ray &
"New York Knockout" Nikki. Keep checking the site for new
ladies to be added to this event.
More about this
exciting booking will be announced in coming days in Erica's Booking
Region.
This week's Picture of the Week shows more of Erica and her friends in New
Orleans.
Sept
12, 2004
- Thundergirls, What's Next for Erica, Picture of The Week -
The webmaster had the rare opportunity (in this region of the
country) to attend an all-women's show Friday night in Evendale,
Ohio. The Thundergirls,
in conjunction with Les Thatcher's Heartland Wrestling Association
(HWA)
presented "Clash in Session" at the HWA Arena. The
card was quite impressive. Joshi Superstar Sumie
Sakai,
former PGWA Rookie of the Year Christie
Ricci, NWTNA luminary
Tracy Brooks, ODB and other superstars from the
Independent circuit entertained the crowd with a night of
excellent, high-impact technical wrestling. I took many
pictures at the event, wrote a recap of the experience and created
a Yahoo Group to host the images to serve as a historical
record. You can join the group and review by clicking
here. Thundergirls is embarking on an ambitious campaign to
bring women's wrestling to arenas throughout the country that may not
otherwise be able to book such shows, and after seeing their
presentation I certainly endorse their efforts. If they hit your
town in the coming months, make sure to get out to see them!
In related
news, IZW owner/superstar
Navajo Warrior reports that Thundergirls
is scheduled to invade his Arizona federation soon, possibly as
early as December of 2004. It is not hard to envision Michelle
Morgan, Lexie Fyfe or reigning IZW Women's Champion Erica Porter
joining the fray and making it one of the most spectacular events of the
year (with all due respect to JTW's Glory Convention in New
Jersey). Stay tuned to the Jungle for any announcements regarding
IZW and Thundergirls!
Erica has been
working out since her return from the orient, and of course
looking forward to the opening of the NFL season. Her Redskins
punked the Tampa Bay Bucs defensively to the tune of less than 200 yards
total offense this afternoon, winning the ballgame 16-10. It
seems to be a new era for the skins, with the return of the
legendary Joe Gibbs. As for wrestling, she plans to be
working some matches in Mexico next month and The Jungle will keep you
apprised of official bookings as they are made.
This week's
Picture of the Week shows Erica and her posse from last year's party
trip to New Orleans.
August
21, 2004
- New Pix, Results from Korea and Erica's thoughts - When you read
Erica's most recent journal entry, you will see that she had a
tremendous time in Korea and Guam traveling with the likes of Norman
Smiley, Viscera, Gangreal, Navajo Warrior and the
entire IZW crew.
She wrestled Michelle
Morgan three times on the
tour and won every match, returning this week still holding the
IZW Women's Title. The Results region of The Jungle has been
updated with these most recent conquests.
This week also
debuts Erica's
Image Gallery from her July 31'st rematch with Valentina,
where she decimated her opponent and regained her UPW Women's Title
after a brief, 2-week respite. As virtually all the greats
in any sport have shown, it is not whether you lose a title...
but whether you have the temerity to reclaim it. And that is
precisely what our warrior did!
This week's Picture
of the Week shows Erica with a fan at the after party show at UPW
Entertainment Overload (2003). Literally everyone who has ever
met Erica after a show, or anywhere else for that
matter, reports that she is among the most down to
earth, gregarious and unpretentious superstars in the
business. JJ, the lucky dog in this photo, is just one of
many.
August
15, 2004 - Erica in the Media - Erica has
been featured in a couple of magazines recently, and this week's
Picture of the Week highlights her spot in the Pro Wrestling
Illustrated "Diva" edition.
Her mini-bio in
the periodical...
Started in
the business accidentally... Was informed by a friend that an audition
was being held for athletic women for a superhero-style show... It
wasn't until she got there that she found out it was actually a
wrestling show ("Having grown up very competitive and athletic-it
seemed right up my alley.")... Debuted on December 16, 2000 as
Jungle Grrrl... In February 2001, her life would change
dramatically... Women of Wrestling (WOW) shut down after it's first
pay-per-view, and Porter also learned that she needed shoulder
surgery... While undergoing rehab, she received a call from WOW
owner David McLane, who wanted to know if she would be
interested in being part of a documentary produced by the Travel
Channel entitled Secrets: Inside Pro Wrestling... It was at that time
that she learned of an independent federation near her home called UPW
("I immediately enrolled, only to discover that I really
didn't know much about the business. What a different world I
was about to enter!")... Trained three days a week with all
men... It took some time to earn their respect, but she finally
did... Remains undefeated in UPW and defended the UPW Women's Title in
February, 2004 against
Ivory, pinning the WWE Diva in her
toughest match to date... Managed by The Big Schwagg... Plans to be
part of WOW again, as it is attempting a comeback.
In
addition, Erica is also included in the latest (and last)
publication of Total Wrestling magazine, now on sale in the US
and the UK. The magazine featured the top 25 women of the
independent circuit, as compiled by wrestlingclothesline.com.
Click here to see scans of the magazine, and click
here to re-visit the interview Erica did with Brett Schwan of WCL
in 2003.
For those of
you who missed the Jenn-X segment featuring the WOW girls on Fox 11
News in Los Angeles a couple months ago, our good friend Mike
Sweetser at the wowe.com website provides streaming video of the
2-minute segment. Erica plays a prominent role in the
piece, and at one point even upends superstar Jennifer Gould
with a jarring suplex. She adds a word or two for those who
believe wrestling is "fake" as well!!!
Finally,
we would like to express our gratitude to Hurricane Charley for
steering clear of our friends Lexie, Mike, Brad,
Lisa, Bradley, Brandon and everyone else it spared it his
swathe, and God provide the courage and strength to those less
fortunate to recover from the devastation it has brought to their
lives. If you are a victim of the hurricane, or would like to help the victims,

August 11, 2004 - News from Korea!!
- No results from the IZW
tour of Korea and Guam yet, but Erica did report that she is having
a great time competing in front of the troops. She wanted to share a
couple of emails from soldiers who witnessed her matches in the early
stages of the tour...
Erica,
My name is Sgt David Bryant. We met while you were on your Korea
tour. I was at Camp Stanley for your opening night.
Although this e-mail does not pertain to a movie role or appearance, I
thought I would write nonetheless. I think what you and the
other wrestlers did for us by taking time out of your busy
schedules was great. I don't get much opportunity to watch
California wrestling so forgive me if I was not familiar with your
name. I had no idea that was you in "Spiderman".
Amazing!
It was an honor and privilege to meet you. I will be watching
your website for more news about the Jungle Grrrl.

August
1, 2004 - Results - Erica seeks to become 2-time UPW Women's Champ -
At last night's
Title Wave show, Erica squared off with Valentina in pursuit of
her second reign as UPW Women's Champion. As always, our
crack reporter Tim Bohannon was at ringside and logs this report:
This night
was a special night. Not only was it Valentina's title defense to
Erica Porter but it was also 2 other things. One, it had a special
guest appearance by former WWE superstar Chyna. The other was it
was a farewell night for Big
Schwagg.
Chyna
was sitting at the time keepers table as the match was anounced.
Erica was anounced first. She walked out with the Big Schwagg and
recieved a good pop. She was still very arrogant even as a challenger.
Valentina was announced next and she walked out to the Ring with her
newly-won championship belt. She received a Huge
pop!
The match
started out pretty evenly with some lock ups, Irish whips and Clothes
lines. Both Erica and Valentina had failed pin attempts on each
other. It went back and forth until Erica hit Valentina with what
looked to be a short Jungle Driver. Erica then climbed to the
top turnbuckle. Everyone thought it might be for a Splash.
Valentina got to her feet and Erica turned it into a Missile Drop Kick,
knocking Valentina to the mat.
Erica then
went for a pin attempt but Valentina kicked out. Valentina
took the advantage shortly after but made the mistake of getting too
close to the ropes. Big Schwagg, who was at ringside,
reached in and grabbed Valentina and got her attention.
Erica then used this to Roll Valentina up for a quick pin, but she
had to put her feet on the ropes to do it. The referee did not see
this and Erica got the Win and became the New Champion. After
winning the UPW Womens Belt both Erica and Big Schwagg became very
cocky and challenged Chyna to come to the ring and show what she is
made out of. Chyna tried to laugh off the challenge, but Big
Schwagg got insulting.
Chyna had
enough and took off her bandana and shoes and walked into the ring.
She was face to face with Erica, touching foreheads and mad as
hell. Chyna did not learn from the previous match and did
not keep her eye on Big Schwagg. While Erica and Chyna were nose
to nose with each other, the Big Schwagg snuck behind Chyna
and grabbed her. Erica drew her hand back to give Chyna a sucker
punch when Chyna ducked and Erica hit the Big Schwagg. Big Schwagg
went down like a wet dish rag after being hit with that sucker punch.
Meanwhile, Chyna reached back and took a swing at Erica,
knocking her out of the ring. Big Schwagg was just putting himself
together and standing up when Chyna turned around to attack him for grabbing
her. With Big Schwagg's back towards Chyna, Chyna drew her fist
back and went between his legs and well........Schwagg went down again.
Chyna then left the ring as the crowd gave her a HUGE POP.
All and all
and in the End, Erica has regained the UPW Womens Belt. And for
Junglemaniacs that is all that is Important.
We're sure that
Valentina fans will find some way to besmirch The Champ on the basis of
this report, but the only fact that matters is that Erica has
heightened her legend with this conquest. Not only the first UPW
Women's Champ, she is now the ONLY 2-time title holder in the
history of this prestigious federation. Now her name can be ranked
with such luminary athletes as Muhammed Ali, Tiger Woods,
and Ric Flair as champions who have lost their titles but had the
temerity and strength of character to recapture them. Hunters are
more proud of the Head Huntress this morning than ever before, not
only for how she doggedly pursued what was rightfully hers and did not
relent until she had it, but for how she approached the ridiculous
overtures of Chyna as well. Yes, it is good to be on top
again!!!

July
18, 2004 - Results from UPW Rage for Order, Erica in PWI's Women
in Wrestling edition, New Art by The Sheikster and Props from
one of the greatest of All Time - There was an unconfirmed
and, quite honestly, unbelievable report rapidly
circulating the internet that Erica lost her UPW Women's Title at last
night's Rage for Order
show in Torrance. The Champ has been
victimized by shoddy reporting and backstage intrigue before, so
we were not about to acknowledge Valentina
as the new UPW Women's
champion until there is compelling visual evidence and reliable
testimony from our own reporters to confirm it.
Unfortunately, official Jungle reporter Tim
Bohannon logged this from ringside:
The traffic on the way
to the match was light. The amount of people waiting in line to
buy tickets was heavy. It looked to be a great day for watching
Wrestling. I was solo this time. I did not bring any of my
posse with me. Thats ok, I was on a mission to watch, report on
and bring back photographic documentation of a match. That match
being the triple threat Match between Erica Porter, Michelle Morgan
and
Valentina.
The match was the third
one from the last. It had been a good night of great matches so
the fans were pumped up. Morgan's name was anounced first.
She emerged from the curtain and pranced around the ring. She
received a big pop. Erica was anounced next. She came out
holding the women's belt and had that familiar arrogant attitude
towards the fans. The fans popped for her but razed her asking
"Where is Schwagg"? Thats right, the Big Schwagg was
not there. As soon as Erica entered the ring, she and
Morgan got into it even before Valentina came out. Valentina,
when her name was announced, came out and was jumped by
Morgan and thrown into the ring.
Erica at this time left
the ring and walked around the Perimeter as Valentina and Morgan went
at it. Erica was waiting for her chance to strike. She
needed to be careful, however, and not let Valentina or
Morgan pin each other or she would lose the belt.
Erica picked her opportunity now and then. At one point Morgan
got thrown out of the ring and Erica pounced on the opportunity... and
Morgan. She threw Morgan back into the ring and Erica and
Valentina double teamed Morgan, taking turns putting the hurt on
her.
Valentina would stomp
the snot out of Morgan and then Erica would join in. At one
point Erica hit Morgan with a short Michinoku Driver type move,
better known in Wrestling as the "Jungle Driver". She
then mounted the top turnbuckle. Some of the fans rose in
their seats and screamed "SPLASH!!!!". Thats
what Erica did. She hit Morgan with her patented "Jungle
Splash". Erica then went for the pin on Morgan to retain
her Title........BUT NO! Valentina pulled Erica off
Morgan and threw her out of the Ring. Morgan was wiped out from
the Jungle Driver and Jungle Splash. After Valentina threw
Erica out of the ring, in order to make sure Morgan was out for
good, she hit her with a finishing neck breaker then got
the pin.
Erica was so furious
that Valentina did that to her that she chased Valentina out
of the ring. Valentina had the belt she just Won in her
Possession. Some people reported seeing a Scuffle
behind the Building between Erica and Valentina over the Belt.
I hear the UPW show at the Grove of Anaheim Saturday July
31st is going to have Valentina defend her Newly won belt against
Erica.
So, as we
can plainly see, Erica was in complete control of the match the
entire time. A smaller person might point to the duplicity of
Valentina as The Champ was going for the pin, and her suspicious
bravado prior to the match, as justification for a review of what
happened.
But we will simply extend our congratulations for
now, knowing that revenge will be all the sweeter at a later
date. It's quite obvious this Triple Threat idea was a lame brain scheme by the
UPW heirarchy to get the title away from it's rightful owner, and
I guess they're pretty happy with themselves this morning.
Hunters are generally happy that Schwag did not stick his nose in this
match. Erica has been carrying him around for too long and
allowing him to bask in her glory, and we never understood what
she saw in that big mouth lunk head all along. Who needs him if he
doesn't even care enough to show?! Thanks for nothing Schwag!!!!
Meanwhile,
Erica continues to accumulate accolades for her amazing wrestling
talent. Whether it is Molly Holly acknowledging
Jungle Grrrl as
her favorite performer in the Women of
Wrestling, the recently
departed Jacqueline openly wondering why Erica has yet to be signed to
a WWE contract and taking that women's division by storm, or
internet journalists posting volumes of text extolling her virtues as
a performer, she may have received no greater endorsement than
that of the legendary Penny Banner in her recently released
autobiography, "Banner Days". On page 313 of the
book, in a chapter entitled "Thank You Lord",
Penny includes Erica in a list of her favorites of the modern era with
the following words:
"In
today's field, while I have not seen them all, I think
Leilani Kai is a real pro. RipTide, San Antonio Rose,
Amy from Australia and Erica ("Jungle Grrrl") have the most to
offer a crowd."
This from, arguably, the greatest women's wrestler of all
time, will stand as a great source of pride to Erica for the rest
of her life. Penny's book is is now in stock and available to
purchase online at her website, bannerdays.com. We strongly
encourage all of Erica's fans to get a copy for your own library.
On the topic of
publishing, you may also want to pick up Pro Wrestling
Illustrated's annual Women in Wrestling edition, currently on sale
at retailers nationwide. The magazine features many of the best
ladies on the Indy circuit and the WWE today, and Erica has her
own spread. The cost is a robust $10 in most areas, but
worth the price. We should have images of the article on The Champ
in coming weeks, but a hard copy is always a better option.
This
would have been worthy of it's own update in most weeks, but the
Amazing Sheikster released yet another magnificent caricature of Erica
recently. He created the artwork for potential merchandise to be
sold at The Jungle. With this addition, our art gallery is
becoming quite impressive, and comprehensive in it's scope of
Erica's entire career in the squared circle. Sheik is a
professional who has designed clothing and promotional art for many
high-profile figures in the worlds of professional sports and
wrestling. An ardent Jungle Grrrl fan, he has also started
his own wrestling career and will be wrestling on July 31st in a match
in Charlotte, North Carolina. Wish him luck, and don't
forget to visit his website and new Yahoo Group to keep up with all of
The Amazing Sheikster's latest creations.
This week's

July
10, 2004 - A Change to the Rage for Order show, Picture of the
Week - The latest news at the UPW Website is that Valentina
will be joining the fray at next Saturday's Rage for Order
show. This is rather curious. Erica has already taken
Valentina to the cleaners once this year, so the Champ doesn't
have anything to prove to her. Our guess is that there are
elements within the UPW creative team which would like to see Erica
lose a belt that she has now held for nearly a year and a half,
and are doing everything within it's power to try and stack the odds
against her with this hair brained Triple Threat Match scheme.
For proof, take a look at this drivel from the UPW webmaster...
Also…this
just added to the Womens match: Valentina! This makes this a Women's
Triple Threat Title Match. Valentina has been on a tear as of late,
getting a victory over the very tough Michelle Morgan. Erica Porter
better be on the top of her game, because she could lose her title even
if she doesn't get pinned. The winner is the first one to get the
pinfall. Erica's dream was to gain the women's title, well she did and
has held on to it for sometime now, but she has never had to face 2
women in the same match before. If she is not careful, her dreams may
start to be in infra-red!
What a bunch of
nonsense from some geek who's probably never stepped inside a
wrestling ring in his life! Imagine a dweeb webmaster dishing out
warnings to the greatest female wrestler ever to emerge from the West
Coast! It just doesn't matter. They
could throw Tom
Howard, Predator AND
Rick Bassman in the ring
against the champ, and the results would be the same. Erica
wrestles like a starving lioness and that belt is lunch! She's
booked for another title defense on the 31'st, and we anticipate
no change in that card. She will still be champ after demolishing
Val and Michelle Morgan
next week.
This week's
Picture of the Week is another photo from her boat.
July
3, 2004 - 4 new bookings - Erica will be in action often over the
next two months. First, at July 17th's UPW Rage for Order
show, she will be accepting the challenge of Michelle Morgan in
defense of her Women's Title. The following is from the Official
UPW Website...
Erica Porter
will defend her Women’s Championship against Michelle Morgan from
Utah. Morgan may be new to the Southern California scene, but she is
not new to winning championships. She has victories over NWA women’s
champ Madison and has been hard at training since relocating to
Phoenix. She has what it takes to be champion, not only is Erica
Porter one of the toughest competitors (male or female) in UPW, but
she also has the Big Schwag in her corner. Morgan feels that Erica has
held the Womens title long enough but she needs to overcome more than
one person if she wants to be the champion. History could be made in
the Women’s Division.
We'll just see
about that!
Following that
on July 31'st at the Grove of
Anaheim, UPW hosts it's next big
arena card. It has been quite a while since one of these,
and Erica is scheduled to work a match with a victim yet to be
named. Tickets for Title Wave range from $20 to $40, but
you will only be granted access to the Pre and After Parties with the
pricier ticket. Erica enjoys meeting her fans at these
events, so you may want to go for the VIP
pass. The Jungle
will keep you updated on the full details of her match that evening as
they are announced.
Erica will not
have long to celebrate what is certain to be a decisive victory in
that show before she will be on a plane bound for the Orient.
She will leave on August 2nd for shows in Guam and Korea, where
she will be battling the afore-mentioned Michelle Morgan in IZW/ICW
action. The complete itenerary for this tour has not been
revealed, but we will try to fill you in as the time
approaches. Erica has indicated that she may have pictures to
share from the trip, and should have some great stories to tell
also. The bookings region of the Jungle has been updated to
reflect these matches.
Erica calls
this week's Picture of the Week "Life in the Jungle".
June
16, 2004 - Erica on TLC's Faking It!!! - We received late notice
that Erica was to appear on last Sunday night's Episode of The Learning
Channel's reality based tv program, "Faking It", so
we apologize for not getting an alert out to her fans.
However, I am pleased to announce that I was able to create some
media of the segment and make it available for viewing right here at The
Jungle with this week's update. In the two-minute scene, Erica
is announced as the UPW Women's Champion by The
Hard Kore Kidd. She
approaches her unwitting victim, a lawyer from New York named
Tom, with a hand extended... then proceeds to assault him with
flurry of kicks, punches and solid wrestling moves that leaves him
with a better appreciation for the soft life of side bars,
objections habius corpus. UPW trainer/superstar Tom Howard then
reviews a few moves on Erica before the segment ends with the Champ
encouraging Mr. Tom to go back to New York and his day job. Erica
looked great as always, and was well spoken in her comments.
Check The Travel Channel website for repeats of the program, but
until then enjoy the following photoset and Windows Media movie of the
scene.
Note: If you have a
Pop Up Blocker program enabled in your browser you will need to
disable it to see the image gallery.
This Week's
Picture of the Week shows Erica embarking on a road trip.
May 23, 2004 - WWE, Fox 11 News in LA, ICW
Tour - Well, several websites reported that Erica was at last
Monday's broadcast of RAW in San Diego. In addition,
Valentina, Desire,
Cheerleader Melissa and Joshi star Takako Inoue were in
attendance for a workout with WWE Diva Jazz. Captain Tom Pritchard did
not preside over the workout, but John Laurinitis and Fit Finlay
scouted the ladies. We will be the first to break the news if
Erica is offered an opportunity as a result of this encounter.
Congratulations to Phoenix "the Firebird", who was signed
to a development contract last week by the federation, according to
her official website.
She is the type of performer who can make a difference in their lady's
division.
Though
we knew the Fox 11 Jenn-X segment featuring the Women of
WOW was
scheduled to air last night (Saturday), we opted not to promote
it for fear of exactly what happened. The segment did not
show, presumably due to a loaded news day. Several Hunters were at the ready to record the segment for
Erica, and we greatly appreciate the vigilance of Robert Porazzo,
SoCal Fan and Tim Bohannon. The segment should air some time very
soon, so if you are in the Fox 11 viewing audience, you
might be on the look out.
On
the topic of WOW, Stereovision recently updated their online
promotional film with a lot of new footage of Jungle Grrrl and the
rest of the re-vamped roster from their latest shoots in Vegas and
California. Erica plays a prominent role in the video, as
she is seen taking bumps in the gym, sitting down to dinner with
a group of WOW hopefuls and laying down the law to a young aspirant
feeling sorry for herself. Short of the Fox 11 piece, it
is the best representation yet of what the new WOW will be bringing to
the table. We cannot link directly to the video due to bandwidth
courtesy, but you can find the video by clicking this link and
selecting your modem speed in the left hand margin. You will
need Windows Media Player to view the new WOW promotional film.
Our
friend Steve "Navajo Warrior" Islas confirmed last week that
Erica will be touring overseas, August 3-16, with ICW/IZW. There will be
two shows in Guam and seven in Korea, and Erica is scheduled for
plenty of action against Morgan
on the trip. Specific dates and
cards will be posted as soon as they are confirmed. Erica has
formed quite a relationship with her Hunters in service
to our country in the last couple of years through email and ICW
shows, and she is always quick to entertain them whenever
the opportunity arises. In these controversial times, we
should not forget that the vast majority of the military consists of
heroic men and women who defend our freedoms!!! This will be
an excellent opportunity for American serviceman and international
fans to forget some of the problems of the world for a night or two
and see the Head Huntress in action!
Finally,
this week's Picture of the Week shows
the champ as she was in Kindergarten...
cute as a button!!!
May
15, 2004 - New WOW story on Fox 11 News in LA, UPW Mat
Wars, upcoming matches - On Wednesday of last
week, Jungle
Grrrl, Terri Gold,
Beckie The Farmer's
Daughter, David
McLane and Loca
shot a segment for Jenn-X,
a regular news segment on Fox 11
News in Los Angeles. Erica reports that everyone had a great
time, and she even got the opportunity to body slam the lovely
and courageous correspondent. The piece is scheduled to air some
time next week for those of you in the greater Los Angeles area,
so be on the look out if you would like to see how the devastating
women of WOW are doing in preparation for their return. We are
making every effort to bring the segment to The Jungle in the form of
a Windows Media file, with a couple of Hunters on the
case. Due to commitments in her professional life, Erica
herself may be depending a video tape by one of her fans in order to
see it. If you happen to catch and tape the show, feel
free to drop her an email and ask if she still needs this item for her
personal highlight reel.
Of
course, tonight Valentina
takes on Morgan
in UPW action at their
Mat Wars show. Erica will be in attendance, and you never
know what may happen with the champ at ringside. Tim Bohannon of
Fantasy Films will provide reports and photography from this event.
Soon we will
have an announcement in the bookings area of the site about an
international tour the Champ will be participating in later this
summer, where her nemesis is likely to be none other than UPW/IZW
vixen Morgan. The ladies will be throwing down for their fans in
the orient. We will be the first to post the specific
dates, times and locations of these events as soon as they are
nailed down.
No
promises, but we may be able to deliver some rare,
exclusive video of the February brawl with the WWE's
Ivory
in coming
weeks. A few obstacles need to be cleared regarding the
copyright of WWE superstar "names", but if all goes
well we will be able to bring this to Erica's fans right here at her
official website.
This week's

May
9, 2004 - 18 New Images from "Ramifications", "Bannerdays",
what's next? - Tim Bohannon took 10 great ringside snapshots from the
May 1st match with Valentina,
and this week marks their debut. Click
here to see Tim's latest work, in addition to 8 excellent photos
from the UPW Website. And, of course, you can always view
Erica's complete image gallery by visiting this
link.
Our good friend
and wrestling legend Penny Banner is planning for a June release of
her much anticipated autobiography, "Banner
Days". When you get your copy you will notice a credit in
the the back to junglegrrrl.net. This is due exclusively to
Penny's respect and support of Erica as a female athlete in this
business who represents the same work ethic and love of competition
that she, the very first AWA Women's champion, had during
her illustrious career. It is a humbling honor for Erica to be
mentioned by this legend in what will be viewed by history as her
authoritative record of events. You can learn how to purchase
your copy of "Banner Days" by visiting the official website
of the book, and you can even specify that your copy be signed
by Penny herself.
On May 15th at
UPW's next Mat Wars
show, Valentina will cross the lines of
battle to face Morgan.
IZW promoter/wrestler
Navajo Warrior has
had high praise for Morgan after training her at his exclusive
wrestling school in Arizona, so it is no cake walk for number
one contender Valentina in this affair. Propaganda for the event
suggests that Erica will be in attendance for the match, so do
not be shocked if there is a cameo by the Champ as the ladie's battle
for the right challenge her title at the promotion's next high profile
event. It's good to see the women's division heat up with so
many young and hungry fighters.
This week's
Picture of the Week shows Erica with UPW superstar Shane "Ma'koa"
Roberts at the Junuary, 2003 Season's Beatings show.
May
2, 2004 - Full Results From "Ramifications" - At last night's UPW event,
Ramifications, Erica defeated
Valentina to retain her UPW
Women's Title.
There was a lot
of heat surrounding this matchup last week, especially on the
Glory Wrestling board, where it seems a certain percentage of fans
viewed this as a day of reckoning for the champ. Valentina does
have a large fanbase, and for good reason. She is
beautiful, talented and much more committed to working legitimate
wrestling matches than some of the other women on the west coast. Some rumblings have been made recently about the help Erica is getting
from Schwagg in recent victories over Ivory,
Desire and,
now, Valentina. But, don't buy into this
nonsense. Schwagg is a camera hound, and he's just trying to
bask in the light of the highest ranking officer in his army. The fact of the matter is
that Erica Porter has had every single one of her singles matches in UPW
under control from start to finish, and the shenanigans of Schwagg
have had absolutely no bearing on the outcome of any victory on her
unblemished record. Props to Valentina for what was a good
effort, but it's going to take a little more time in the gym to
make a serious run at the most prestigious women's title in the Western
United States. A re-match is certainly not out of the
question, but nothing happened Saturday to suggest a different
result.
No word on
whether any video of this match will be released by UPW, but
Valentina did mention that she will attempt to have it posted on her excellent
website soon. Of course, Tim was in the audience with a
great seat, and promises 7-10 good pictures from the action for
future posting. It is believed UPW photographers were on hand as
well.
This week's Picture
of the Week shows Erica in elementary school.
April 19, 2004 - Erica vs. Valentina at UPW Ramifications!!!! - Well, the
speculation is over! Today UPW finally revealed who will be the
next victim on Erica's path to Glory, and it will be none other
than the fair Valentina. At UPW's first Road Show
"Ramifications", the ladies will square off at the Ken
Miller Recreation Center in Torrance, CA. for what is destined
to be a memorable, if lopsided, affair! Val may be a
little soft after the kid gloves treatment she got in NWATNA,
CRUSH and matches on the Indy circuit against underlings like
Desire. So now she steps up to the big leagues against the most
devastating force in women's wrestling today! The UPW
title will be on the line, so expect no quarter from a Champion
who never intends to relinquish it. Fans of Miss Valentina may
want to consider seeing her at an alternative personal appearance to
this one. She will doubtlessly be too busy trying to avoid a
butt whoopin' to mingle :). At the very least, be
forewarned that this will not be her finest photo op!
In their
hype for the match, UPW released the following excerpt from a
recent interview with the Ranking Officer of the Schwagg Army:
When I asked Porter
if she had anything to prove she said "I am going to show
everyone at the show MY 'TNA'." I must admit when she said
this a huge smile came over my face. Seeing this she leaned in
close and said " Would you like to see my 'TNA' right now, I
don't mind showing you." Like anyone of you, of course I
said yes! As she stood up she motioned to unbutton her shirt,
and then slapped me across the face. While I was sitting there
holding my face, she told me that "TNA" stood for Talent and
Ability", and then walked off laughing at me.

April
18, 2004 - New Video, Erica's next opponent, Heather Lee -
I
kicked around the concept of posting a rare, second version of
Erica's Janurary
11, 2003 match with Lexie Fyfe for several reasons: 1)
The Video Quality is bad: 2) The video quality
stinks.:
3) Erica has lost only one match by pin-fall in the last
two years, and avenged that aberration by taking the IZW Women's
Title away from Lexie the following month at Rodeo Nights, a
match which can be revisited by clicking
here. I mean, why
dwell on it?: 4) Did I mention the video quality bites?
After
much deliberation, I decided to go ahead and post this video
inspite of it's technical shortcomings because of the statement it makes about
what women's wrestling can be in it's best form. Shot by an
amateur at ringside, the film gives us a tight view of the sights
and sounds of a high-impact match between two skilled pros at the top of
their game. There was no room in the ring that night for aspiring
valets or "divas", just athletes committed to giving the
fans what they paid for. It was raw, physical and
competitive. Don't be fooled by Lexie's histrionics. She hit
Erica hard with a jarring superplex and rocked her to the mat several
times in ways that would have left many men in tears. Erica
replied to this assault with her own brand of brutality,
drilling Fyfe with a vertical suplex that seemed to literally rock the
ring off it's foundations and later hitting her with a missile drop kick
that may have sent HHH back home to momma. Eyewitnesses have
claimed that Erica's match with the WWE's Ivory was the best match of
her career, but until video is released of that I stand by these
affairs with Lexie as The Huntress at her greatest in her post-WOW
career. Click here to

- Last weekend at
UPW's Mat Wars show, Awake,
Valentina disposed of
Desire by pulling off her pants, or some such
nonsense. We'll give credit it where it is due... at least
both girls showed up this time :). But, having
defeated Cheerleader Melissa and
Sara Del Rey in seperate but
equally dominating encounters already, Valentina may be the
Erica's next best opponent on the Indy scene at the moment.
Nothing has been set in terms of the Champ's next match with UPW,
but we are guessing that it could be against Valentina. Stay
tuned.

- We don't want this
update to end before extending our congratulations to Heather Lee
and Bruce, who are to be married next weekend. Erica
will participate as Heather's "Maid of Courage".
We are so happy for Heather and Bruce.

April
4, 2004 - New Pictures, Desire vs. Valentina - In
case you missed it, there are 48 excellent new high resolution
photos of Erica's February match with the WWE's Ivory
posted at the
UPW website. Both women looked absolutely stunning that
evening, and the photoset captures the highlights of the match
in meticulous detail. The UPW webmaster told me that a video is
forthcoming, though there seems to be some confusion on whether
or not the ladies' match will appear on the tape or DVD. The WWE
has very tight control on all media that is released of it's
superstars, and it is possible that the footage of Ivory will be
omitted. So, we will hope for the best. Until
then, make sure to visit
this gallery (starting in the fourth row of thumbs). And,
of course, check out our own photoset of the match in
Erica's image gallery.
We can't reveal
much about what is going on at the moment, but suffice it to say
that Erica is very busy with a big project that we all are very
familiar with. Needless to say, we are very optimistic
that this project is well on it's way to success and will report on
the nature of it as soon as there is something newsworthy to report.
UPW has
rescheduled Valentina vs.
Desire for their April 10th Mat Wars
show, Awake.
It is very possible that the winner of this
match will be Erica's opponent in her next UPW Women's Title defense.
Mention was
made in a previous update that Erica may be appearing in an April IZW
show for a defense of her women's title, but commissioner Steve
"Navajo Warrior" Islas confirmed this weekend that she had
to cancel due to previous commitments.
This week's
Picture of the Week shows Erica as a teenager in Germany.
March
14, 2004 - The Next Victim, Merchandise... - At
tonight's UPW Mat Wars show, Revelations,
Valentina takes on
Desire in singles competition.
The
implication in the pub for this match is that the winner may be the
next contender to Erica's Women's title. Valentina and Desire have
been on the scene for a couple of years, and Desire
has already been the recipient of a dose of bad
medicine from our Huntress in 2003. Valentina is
best known from her work in the NWA-TNA,
and is probably the best equipped of the two to handle the onslaught
of Erica's arsenal.
But, good luck to these
ladies tonight. If the hype is true, the celebration for any
"victory" would be short-lived. The possibility of a
clash with the champ should be quite sobering to either of these
girls.
PM Update -
Official Jungle correspondent Tim Bohannon reports that Desire failed
